Following our trip to Chinnur village (Ref: Our Blog) we have got this request from the Head master of Government Tribal residential primary school which teaches the tribal students from these areas. They don’t have electricity in this school which teaches 28 children who live and study here since this is a residential school.

Currently the school has the solar panel setup which is supposed to be used for their electricity requirements. They have a total requirement of 15,000 W for lighting the complete school. Whereas the government has installed only 300W (75 x 4) capacity which is also not working now.

For installing the total required capacity we would need approximately Rs.15 to 18 lakhs which looks way to high so we have planned to work out the below for this school.

With the help of the headmaster and our volunteer we have received an estimate from Nakshatra System & LED Solutions located in Theni. The proprietor of Nakshatra has the same interest to help this school, so they give us an estimate with very minimal cost.
